With Vineman 2005 fast approaching, we figured it was time to profile the members of the two competing teams. As you can see, the resumes are quite impressive! Dinner is on the line and at this point the issue is very much in doubt.

Be sure to check out the following:

Meet The 2005 Vineman Teams!

The Older Folks

Young & Fast!

Bob DenlowBob Denlow
Nicknamed "The Fish" by his teammates, the only thing that this Clayton based attorney is condeming is the pool! His swimming abilities have often been compared to those of Greg Luganis. Look for this new triathlete to either win his age division or DNF - it is too close to call - could go either way.
John StrassnerJohn Strassner
The hammer and really the glue of the young and fast team. This star triathlete, web wizard and official team photographer has it all going for him. A Kona spot is not completely out of the question if Suzy lets him continue to train. We expect him to be draped in yellow when it is all said and done.
Beth MoellerBeth Moeller
The Secret Weapon - this chick is tough with 26 marathons under her thong. Look for her to break her PR by kissing at least 19 guys during Vineman. The question is will she be able to improve upon that number with the swim and the bike or will she have to go to her strength - the run - when smooching.
Tommy RosenthalTommy Rosenthal
This mortgage broker thrives on competing at the highest level despite a diet that includes virtually nothing but Frapaccinos & Hummus. A triathlete since 2003, TPR will blow the field away in dramatic fashion with his Metrosexualesque Tri Wardrobe.
Lynn BouvetteLynn Bouvette
There is much speculation that this odds on favorite will decimate the California field. Lynn is one tough "mother." A triumph at Vineman would certainly be the "coup de grace" of her athletic career. Lynn's accolades are as far reaching as her talent. Her desire to win at Vineman is matched only be her desire to make sure that Bob does not drown. She is the odds on favorite.
Mike PepperMike Pepper
The furniture pedeler can fashion a victory in California if he can overcome pre-race wetsuit concerns. His explosive power promises not to disappoint the talent rich field at Vineman. He can certainly emerge victorious as long as he does not have to stop to fix any teammate's flat tires. He also has to get over the fact that the medals are lousy and focus his energy on things that are within his control.
Vic RicheyCoach Vic Richey
This CEO turned coach has been compared to Discovery's Johan Bruyneel due to his relentless training regimine. His signature aggressive style of management has the "experienced" team primed and ready for action. If his squad can control the pace in California (like he controls expenses) then they might have a shot at victory.
Diane PratlDiane Pratl
Diane's 1/2 Ironman aspirations were sullied when she learned that she was pregnant. However, don't look for her bike on EBAY just quite yet since she is planning a post partum comeback. If anyone can accomplish this Rebecca Brown can. If anyone else can do this then Diane would be the one. Don't count her out of the NYC Marathon in November just quite yet as she has the ability to get in top shape in 2 weeks.
